About the Teachers

Mrs. Bellamy (2nd/3rd Split)

Mrs. Bellamy is so excited to be back in the classroom. After 11 years of teaching in Las Vegas and 2 years home with her kids, she’s excited to get her 12th year started! She has two daughters, Hannah (7) and Aubrey (3). They keep her very busy! Mrs. Bellamy graduated in 2001 from UNLV and went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Elementary Literacy Instruction. Her family moved to Cedar City in 2012 for better education and to be closer to family. In her spare time she enjoys reading and spend time with her family.

Mrs. Whatcott

Hi! My  name is Sydney Whatcott and I am a 2nd grade teacher at North Elementary in Cedar City, Utah.  I grew up in Cedar City where I attended Canyon View High School and later graduated from Southern Utah University with a degree in Elementary Education and Special Education.  My first teaching job took me to the thriving metropolis of Price, Utah where I spent 2 adventure-filled years.  I met my husband there and we were married in 2012.  His schooling brought us back to Cedar, where I was lucky enough to get a job at North Elementary.  I’ve been here one year and have absolutely loved it.  Other than that I love reading, writing, being outdoors, going to rodeos, and eating chips and salsa.  But most importantly, I am passionate about teaching and can’t imagine myself doing anything else!
